Class Dojo
I chose to use Class Dojo to manage my "classroom." It was very easy to create, all I had to do was sign up for a free account. I then entered in the names of my "students," and was able to give them dojo points for good behavior or take points if they were not doing what they were supposed to do.
This artifact fits perfectly with Component 2D because this component is all about managing student behavior. This tool helps teachers to manage their classrooms because they are able to use the points as a motivation system for the students to behave. Class Dojo specifically links with element 2 of Component 2D, which is Monitoring Student Behavior. Class Dojo allows the teacher to choose what the student is or is not doing well. For example, there is an option to give a student a dojo point for staying on task.

I enjoyed the fact that Class Dojo allows the teacher to track their students' behavior over a period of time. This relates to the SAMR model because it is Augmentation. While it is possible to track students' behavior, take attendance, and choose students randomly without using Class Dojo, this tool keeps all of those in the same place, it is electronic, and it allows students and parents to access the information that is put in by the teacher while they are at home. It also relates to Growth Mindset because students need to know that they are not always going to be perfect, and they may get points taken away sometimes for misbehavior, but when they behave and receive points, they will be rewarded.
