Professional Learning Network
A Professional Learning Network, or PLN, is simply a network of people within your profession who push you to grow within the profession and to be the best that you can be. A strong PLN is important for educators to have because they need to be able to collaborate, grow, and have a support system with their fellow teachers. As a pre-service teacher, I have begun to grow my own PLN and it has really enabled me to grow as a person. It has also grown my knowledge of the teaching profession and all that it entails. It has been such a privilege for me to be able to meet the people that I have while growing my PLN. They have given me great advice as well as support in my studies to become a teacher.
I plan to continue to grow my personal PLN throughout my time at Grove City College as well as in the future as a professional educator by participating in Twitter Chats, attending conferences, attending web seminars, etc.
