Classflow
Classflow is a website where teachers can create online lessons for their students. This is a great resource for teachers who want their classroom to be flipped. In order to use Classflow, all teachers have to do is create a free account. In order to create a lesson, the teacher must click create a lesson on the lower half of the home page. After this, the teacher is sent to a page where they are prompted to type in a title for their lesson, a subject, grade level, etc. Once all of this is finished, the lesson can be created. To do this, the teacher creates "cards" both for the teacher view as well as the student view. These are seen differently on the student and teachers' screens. The teacher has the option of embedding websites or videos into their lessons in addition to adding assessments, inserting Bing images straight from the lesson creating page on Classflow, and inserting shapes as well as highlighting, drawing, and fill tools. There are also different backgrounds that can be added to cards to make them look more professional.
Classflow fits into Component 3E because it is a way for teachers to be flexible in their lessons. If they do not get to go over much in class one day for whatever reason, or they are not going to be in school and have a substitute, etc. then they can create a flipped lesson, or even a lesson that a substitute could play in class for the students to complete. This tool fits specifically into element 2, Response to Students. It fits into this element because teachers need to teach to real life moments in the classroom and if something comes up where the teacher is unable to teach content during the day, then they are able to put up an online lesson through Classflow.
If I could do something differently, I would do more research on the significance of teacher and student cards. I found it difficult to distinguish the difference as I created the two. I enjoyed creating the assessment in my lesson. It was fun using all of the different types of questions available on the website. I will use this in my future classroom whenever I feel the need to utilize the flipped classroom technique.
